After moving to America to work as an engineer, Georgos experienced that a glass of wine was an invitation to a roaring headache. Back home, he never experienced these symptoms because Greek wines have lower alcohol content (less sugar) and low level of histamines and sulfites. While he could easily find other Greek products (yogurt, olive oil, etc.), he could not find Greek wines at local retail stores and restaurants.
Since wine is a staple of a Greek diet, he believed that everyone deserved access to these healthier wines, so he set about making delicious (Nu) Greek wines right here in the U.S.
The rest, as they say, is history.

Sonoma Country is California's premier wine location with sprawling hills and redwood trees, all the way to the rocky coast.
In 2013, Georgos visited Sonoma and fell in love. With shades of Homer’s Odyssey he decided to import Greek wine. He used Greek wine methods and married it with some of Sonoma’s noble red to create a wine unlike any you have had before.
How we craft our Nu Greek Wine is important
We use the Greek wine-making method from the vineyard to the bottle. We hand-sort our grapes, reduce toxins and bacteria. We make delicious wine with low alcohol (less sugar) and low levels of sulfites and histamines. We Believe in Healthier Wine.
